What’s interesting to me about BTC is not the price, but whether a fiat commodity can sustain itself long-term (fifty-plus years). I liken it to collecting modern art: There are enough people who like it and want it that there is a reasonable marketplace for trade, and while prices aren’t necessarily stable they’re stable enough. So far it seems like there are enough people who continue to have faith in BTC it that it might just stick around long term. (But who really knows?)
