Agree 100% on the drastic socioeconomic change upon Austin turning into San Francisco (if that every occurs) would undoubtedly meet with resistance from local residents and businesses who are going to be affected negatively. This similar debacle sorta happened in Amazon's unsuccessful bid in choosing LIC (of NYC) as its HQ2.
