tldr: with all software-side mitigations turned on you are looking at ~15-25% decrease in performance.
Considering the millions of chips running worldwide and the CPU cycles / energy wasted on this, this really is absolutely horrendous.
- Synaesthesia 6y agoConsider all the CPU energy "wasted" on playing games which contribute absolutely nothing to society.
- brutal_boi 6y agoI'm guessing you correlate that if peolpe didn't play games, they'd instead have time to do other things more meaningful to contribute to society, which is naive at best.
