20 years ago was the disputed 2000 election, 9/11, Department of Homeland Security, Gitmo, invasion of Afghanistan, lies about WMD, invasion of Iraq, etc. So no, I wouldn't say things were better then.
- refurb 6y agoIt’s truly amazing how quickly people forget. Reminds me of the rapid increase in housing prices now and concerns about a bubble. I mean, 8-9 years ago it was non-stop articles about how nobody would be fooled again by a housing bubble.
