"because most people are not equipped to understand what is reasonable" > I hear this all the time now. But let's be clear -- this is the talk of fascism. Nonetheless it seems objectively true to me. This may just be my biased perspective being substantially smarter than average, but I'm continually surprised by how gullible, uneducated, and uninformed the average person is. In the USA especially - stop skimping on your education system there! I'm also surprised pleasantly by what humans in the aggregate accomplish, so it's not all doom and gloom.
