Jetbrains reply to the story from The New York Times regarding Solarwinds breach
- asymptotically3 6y agoThe NYT article reminds me of that terrible Bloomberg article on Supermicro hardware being backdoored. Nice to see that Jetbrains have a response out quickly :)
- cashsterling 6y agoThis is a situation where there is nothing Jetbrains can say to totally remove doubt given the link to Russia. It is akin to the famous question: "Do you still beat your wife?" I certainly hope they don't [beat their wife]... I love Jetbrains software.
- mark_l_watson 6y agoI think making these claims against Jetbrains without firm proof, proof that is disclosed, is poor behavior. I expect that this will turn out to be a false story and if it is, I hope the NYT pays for it financially.
- ternaryoperator 6y ago"Officials are investigating whether the company, founded by three Russian engineers in the Czech Republic with research labs in Russia, was breached and used as a pathway for hackers to insert back doors" The claim is that intelligence agencies are investigating. Unless that's a total fabrication, there would be no basis for any kind of suit.
