Have you considered doing this on a higher category LTE modem (eg: a Cat16 modem like the Nighthawk M1) and modifying the TTL to enable tablet/phone SIMs to function in said device?
A Cat4 modem is pretty long in the tooth and will likely give poor speeds/latency except on unloaded cell towers.
- MacsHeadroom 6y agoMight as well just go for LTE cat20 or cat22 (Snapdragon X55 or newer) to future-proof with sub6 if you're already going to spend that much on a modem.

Recommendation is to disable low bands if there's a sufficient signal on midbands and it's operating full 20mhz channels (stuff like 4/66). Band 12/71 going to be slowww.
