Thanks for doing this, as a fairly rookie programmer I will be reading this all. :) Would you welcome typo corrections if people are making efforts to do sophisticated formatting? If so here's one that seems worth correcting: (from item 2.) "The most challenging is finding a project big enough to not be boring but small enough that-['s] it's +[not] too difficult to make good progress."
