Fantastic essay. Articulates a thought I've long (in some oblique sense) had but never found the words for. I hope this term enters the mainstream, because I find the mere fact of there being a term for something helps to anchor the concept in society's mind and help them to be mindful of it. Because we have a term for the Dunning-Kruger effect, we know to be aware of it, etc. Of course only a small selection of society (the sort that like reading and digesting concepts) ever learn these terms, but that slice of society is very high-impact and arguably the most important slice for where such concepts need to take hold.
