These sorts of stories (fugitive tracked via cell phone) never cease to amaze me because even the most technically naive person should be aware that cell phones can and are traced. It makes me wonder why it still happens. Is it because their need to be constantly contactable is so great that they feel the risk is worth it? Is it possibly because they think they can outsmart the technology? If so at the very least, anyone providing security for her would know it was a huge no-no. I know some rich people can be arrogant enough to hire a specialist and then ignore their expensive advice but still … The mind boggles.
