Supercapacitors Challenge Batteries
- rini17 6y agoLooking forward to these! Just that supercaps aren't going to be universal drop-in replacement for batteries since capacitors' voltage drops linearly with discharge. I.e. when half-discharged as measured in Ah, the voltage drops to half, too. But by that point, only a quarter of energy measured in Wh is left in capacitors, so loads that aren't sensitive to voltage (or have a regulator/dc-dc converter) will be fine.
