Getting doses out early and fast is critical and making sure to maintain trust when doing so is also important. This person is on the wrong side of both for reasons that are unacceptable, I expect they’ll be made an example of as we must consider that this is not the last time we’ll need to maintain the integrity of a large scale vaccine roll out.
I expect the punishment to appear sufficient to presumably deter other wrong minded people from doing something similar. It probably won’t work.
- s1artibartfast 6y agoNothing screams trust and integrity like public lashings in street, so perhaps we should start there. I would rather not make a example of someone for PR and add an enhancement for thought crime. But then again, I have never been convinced that US belief in harsh punishments as a deterrent did anything but fill jails and cost money.
