When I did employee-side employment discrimination law, the stories from the union employees who worked at a giant US airplane manufacture were the saddest. Often with local union leadership being involved in the discrimination. Eventually I learned to pass on cases that involved unionized employees because having a union involved made it much more difficult to prosecute cases.
