This is the best comedy routine I've ever seen.
> Because of the curvature of our eyes, we are born with an inverted view. Light and visual info coming into the eye gets refracted upside down onto the retina, over time the brain learns to correctly orient the image. Autistic children presumably never learn to invert the image their retinas project, many probably still see everything upside down.
- Mandragora 6y agoIt's quite evident autistic children have warped, undeveloped vision, but yes the idea of many seeing everything upside is probably excessive. But it is possible some do not learn to automatically flip their ocular sensory input as they have no true basis of comparison. Sensory integration begins with hearing, not vision.
