If there is not an appropriate award that already exists then it should be created and then given to her and any other unsung heroes in this area. If no institution does it then it should be crowd funded and presented by a new foundation. I will donate!!
- signal11 6y agoThere is some talk of a Nobel Prize in chemistry for Dr Katalin Karikó and her collaborator Dr Drew Weissman. From what I’ve heard, mRNA as a technique is quite an advance — if true then they deserve all the accolades they get to make up for the years of fruitless, unappreciated research.
