Top Tech Turkeys 2020: The worst products and services of the (worst) year
- manuelabeledo 6y agoI get the criticism about Twitter and Facebook, on their inability to curb hate speech. But Parler? It does not and will not do such thing, at least in the foreseeable future. It is their mission, why would they change it? On the contact tracing APIs, I cannot consider Apple or Google responsible for their underwhelming adoption. Whilst the concept itself seems flawed when it comes to reaching critical mass, especially in the US, where any sort of obvious government tracking is frowned upon (confidential ones seem to be OK, for some reason), most states did not want to work on this, and at most relied on “manual” contact tracing.
