People shouldn't be doing business in the shadows. If you are engaged in economic activity you should be a knowable entity. It isn't hard to find where wealthy people live anyway.
- nullc 6y agoThe "economic activity" being discussed in my sub thread here is simply owning your own home and not having your address easily available for kidnappers and nut bags. It is, in fact, pretty hard (as in the cost can be easily raised to a couple grand with a bit of opsec). Renters have no such disclosure of where they live. This law could have at least made unauthorized disclosure of the information collected a felony as is the case for tax returns, but it does not.
