How do you handle CI to ensure portability to big-endian systems? Running in emulator or on real hardware?
Does anyone know about some reasonably priced big-endian linux hardware that could be added to build system to run CI tests on big-endian?
The only thing i found is Ubiquiti Edgerouter Pro (MIPS64 BE).
- tyingq 6y agoSomeone did make a BE bootable Netbsd image for the Rpi3, since ARM can be switched to BE mode. http://mail-index.netbsd.org/current-users/2020/12/03/msg039990.html http://mail-index.netbsd.org/current-users/2020/12/03/msg039... Appears nobody has done the same for Linux yet. The link above mentions that Rpi4 isn't done because BE mode with ACPI either isn't possible, or is difficult.
