Parser written in PHP is 5.6x faster than the same C++ program in a similar test
- smt88 6y agotl;dr The C++ was very poorly optimized. Experienced programmers probably wouldn't use the phrasing "same program" in the first place. Even if the code is short and seems like an exact translation, modern languages have too much happening under the hood to say that the program is the same.
