A friend once told me, right after I had settled in to my first cozy big tech job: "you should be uncomfortable being too comfortable". May be the single most useful advice I've ever received. Also, having lived in Tokyo for a year, just freakin do it. So much new things to learn there. oh, and ironically that friend has stayed at their cozy corporate gig and doesn't seem to heed their own sage advice very much :/
