China is bound to win in the long run, given the resources, captive market and most importantly competitive/cost of talent.
Japan, US, India and possibly some EU countries are partnering today to build an alternative to Huawei in 5G.
This is coming 10 years late.
We might be repeating the same mistake but now in semiconductors.
