Agreed. Internet gives it away, they likely want control akin to Google Maps:roads. Their example of “nearby observer” is a hilarious decoy from the real problem of a big data panopticon and monopoly.
Wi-Fi is a power hog and its range also won’t work with BVLOS, unless more infrastructure is built. Google would be well positioned for such a play too, given Fiber.
