- jdmoreira 6y agoThis is called selection bias. You are cherry picking Amazon in the present and going back in time to a past where there were many more e-commerce contenders. I'm sure you have heard about the dot-com bubble. Do you know what all those companies were doing? E-commerce. In some alternative universe Amazon is Pets.com
