Coincidentally I just got one to use as a console for a Raspberry Pi. It works well, but bear in mind it introduces a ~650ms lag, so anything interactive (e.g. typing on a keyboard) becomes noticeable. But for $13 you can't expect much more. Even a $200 Elgato HD60 S+ has 280ms lag, so 15x lower cost for half performance seems a good deal.
