Jira has two different WYSIWYG fields for issue descriptions. The one in the edit-issue form understands Markdown, but the one in the create-issue form doesn't.

Jira has two different WYSIWYG fields for issue descriptions. The one in the edit-issue form understands Markdown, but the one in the create-issue form doesn't. It's been this way for at least a couple of years. Jira could become perfect in every other way, and would still suck if they don't fix this.
