Something that seems to be missing here is retention. By giving this sort of flexibility to employees you will improve it. This will offset losses in producitivity, assuming a 4 day week created any (which is a moot point), as people become more productive the more they know about the company / domain etc. Poor retention and high churn is a HUGE problem in most tech companies as half the people generally know very little about what they're working on.
