Why is it called AArch64 and not Arm64?
- brnt 6y agoBecause AppleArch64 is not the same as Arm64.
- bboreham 6y agoApple originally called it ARM64; the AArch64 name comes from ARM and was used by everybody else so Apple adopted it. https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=MTY5ODk https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=MTY5ODk
