It's a good question. How can the GOP benefit from blocking the additional money ($2k checks) to millions of Americans who are hurting so badly. My only response is that the majority leader of the GOP would rather use the money towards something else; military, large corporations, etc. I've heard claims that they (majority of the GOP) believe that adding the money into the economy would create more debt. At this rate, it would help in the long term. It's also a strange game and terrible feud that they are playing and stringing along households and small businesses.
