  My parents forbade me from watching it because Bart was disrespectful to his parents (then maybe don't get me a Bart Simpson doll for my third birthday?). Then South Park came out and they had a new windmill to tilt at.

    Same in our house for several seasons. Then watching it became a family event. Did your parents have a pov regarding Mortal Kombat? My dad recorded the Senate debate on Video Game violence off CSPAN, and made me watch it.
