When the state doesn't have to foot the bill taking you to court, of course they don't care. If the procsecutor had to pay all your legal fees if they lost, we'd either get some pretty amazing state prosecutors or ones who who only accept evidence from cops that can convince a judge. It's almost as if you stop cops from just locking people up it creates an immense snowball effect on the whole system...
