How close does Paypal come to this? What is it lacking in your eyes (other than the "open standard" aspect)?
- summm 6y agonon-anonymous: PayPal always sees who pays whom what amount, maybe even for what content. Reliance on a single vendor: If PayPal is down, or doesn't like some publication ("violates our standards/US laws/etc."), you're out of luck.
