Well, they're still able to read their ancient texts and probably understand them well.
Now, even Greeks would struggle with the ancient Greek texts.
- rantanplan 6y agoNo we don't! How dare... um... ok yes we do struggle. Unless you're an ancient Greek teacher, it's very hard to make sense of it. But you can certainly pick up numerous -unchanged- words or roots(common parts) since modern Greek is derrived from them.
