Had an '05 Jeep Grand Cherokee that LOVED to kick in traction control right at the critical moment of trying to make an abrupt U-turn. Like pedal down, lurch.... ummmm, think... ok, here's SOME throttle... while there's a SEMI barreling toward you... Ya learned NOT to try u-turns that might require haste.

- o-__-o 6y agoMy TC does the same thing. All cars after 2008 will cut throttle and apply brakes if losing traction. Turning off traction control disables this system until you press the brakes which then enables passive traction control (the car will not actively brake but will cut power) Thank Ford+Bridgestone for this
