Also, the core technical argument - that hashcat proves crypt is better than SHA2 - is weak. I could write a hashing function that looks good if you throw hashcat at it, but I wouldn't recommend you use it. I believe bcrypt is a better choice, but if I didn't I wouldn't have been persuaded.
