I remember several games that had were promised to have amazing new gameplay features, were hyped based on those features, and then failed to deliver. A few from my memory: Fable, Spore, and No Man's Sky. That isn't to stay those games were bad, just that they weren't what was promised. Looks like Cyberpunk 2077 is in the same category. I just find it sad that anyone ever believes any of the hype.
