I used jEdit for many years on linux and windows, but development has been stalled for a long time. Presumably moment dropped off quickly after the author Slava moved on to other projects. It's a shame. I'm trying http://www.vicoapp.com/ http://www.vicoapp.com/ instead these days. Not as good as jEdit, but at least people are actively maintaining the code.
