I’ve been studying Stafford Beer’s Viable System Model this year and even just from a systems perspective I would come up with a surprisingly similar list. Much the same: Intent (for meaning-making), and trust-building. Mentorship is interesting for its function: making the system ‘self-producing’. Before that though I’d add to the first two ‘calibration’: knowing when and how turning the dials up and down according to the need for focus, innovation, crisis response, to allow self-organisation to happen, etc
