The people doing the “car warranty” phone scam are making more money and didn’t have to do any ML or image recognition R&D. In fact, their profit margin might be better because they don’t pay out ... they have zero post-acquisition costs! This shows a bug in capitalism: The scammers work less hard to make more money and will go out of business still in denial.
