Is this any different to sharedrop.io, and how does it handle large files? I tried to send a zip file through sharedrop.io to my father and it just hung with no progress bar - so I had no idea if it was sending really or not. At least network manager showed only very slow upload.
- ProtoAES256 6y agoI sent a 5GiB file from my android phone to my laptop, my phone hungs for nearly a minute before it starts the sending process. My hypothesis is that it needs some 'processing' from and to the browser and the phone storage.
- lozf 6y agoFrom a previous discussion I noted that sharedrop.io uses Googles Firebase, and ember.js - this doesn't and has fewer dependencies.
