(Author here) I also hope more hobby chess engine builders join the fun on lichess! I recommend playing against https://lichess.org/@/TuroBot https://lichess.org/@/TuroBot which is based on Alan Turing's https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turochamp https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turochamp I debugged my bot by playing it on lichess since I'm so used to the UI/analysis tools.
