The US hacking the rest of the world
- dmix 6y agoThe big question is why hasn’t Russia and China etc made a big deal about being hacked all the time? Are they in a similar arrangement to never talk about it either? The US selectively acts with outrage but mainly when it hits normal civilians, or more likely, megacorps. But also mainly when contractor infosec companies are the ones who detected and promote that fact as a business/marketing goal. Snowden showed evidence of some 5eyes economic espionage when they hit Brazil’s oil industry with the help of Canadian intel community so the ‘only government assets arxxe fair game’ thing also is hard to believe. [1] There's probably a Russian or Chinese engineer who has seen the crazy stuff the NSA (and their own orgs minus compartmentalization which Snowden suffered heavily from and which they are ext=a.
