Zoom may launch email service and calendar app to compete with Google, Microsoft
- bitxbitxbitcoin 6y agoIf I schedule something in the calendar app for June 4th and call the event Tiananmen Square Massacre Commemoration, will my event or even my entire Zoom access disappear? Probably not. But the fact that history gives me the grounds to seriously ask that question was the best articulation I could come up with on why I will never use this product.
- a3n 6y agoBecause it's easier to datamine the money on the table that is text, rather than video/audio?
- osdotsystem 6y agoMy little finger tells me it's a bad move. Just to compete? If these 2 weren't here, customers would have been left out?
- afinlayson 6y agoThere's so many things that need to be done around real time communication ... they aren't done there. Unless they are planning on making something completely different, don't get distracted.
- Proven 6y agoGood luck, they will need it... I wouldn't call those apps low hanging fruit. Even compared to video conferencing, when all enterprises had was WebEx and GoToMeeting - both long overdue for retirement, But Zoom have to burn all that money on something.
- someonehere 6y agoWould be nice if it was like Calendly. I’d like to see that integrate with O365 or Google for availability.
