Like Conway's Game of Life. I'm sure actual physicists have a thousand observations that prove it's not a possible explanation. But to me the concept is interesting in that it explains why there's time dilation, reference frames, warping of space, relativity, MOND, etc without any magic - epicycles that only exist from the viewpoint of speed of light being the center of the universe. They can never be reconciled with quantum if they don't actually exist.
