Should you optimise your life based on what you’ll think at the end of it? Do your regrets really matter that much when weighing how to spend your life?

- mbrodersen 6y agoYes of course. Only at the end of your life can you truly evaluate what was worth doing and what wasn’t.
- hyko 6y agoI don’t find this to be a compelling argument. Sure, the old person might be saying “I wish I’d worked less”...it doesn’t follow that working less will actually make you any happier for most of your life. Constructing your life so you’ll be happy on that deathbed seems like a gross misapplication of life’s potential.
