You realize that this means the US responds via war if Sweden is attacked, right?
- alkonaut 6y agoJoining would make it formally have to respond. You can still decide whether to send troops under Article 5. Of course, it’s more or less a given that NATO countries including the US would respond if Sweden was attacked. Membership would only be a marginal change.
