The FBI is going to be mining NSA intercepts to catch people streaming Michael Radford's production of "1984" without a permit. The security state is a jobs program, and Congress delivers the bacon.
Will they have probable cause for a wiretap if I talk about watching a movie, but my credit card data (which they have) shows no evidence of purchasing that movie?
Now we see why they tried so hard to ruin at Aaron Swartz. Had he survived his encounter with the Justice Department, Aaron would probably be a member of Congress leading the charge against this monstrosity.
