Which is to say, the best you can hope for is to have a reliable way of generating the report you need when you need it. Which for me suggests that it doesn’t really matter which way you do it, as long as you 1) dogmatically adhere to doing it the same way every time and 2) have the tooling to effectively manage the downsides of your choice.
