- plugger 6y agoDespite the article not outright claiming this as fact I've never seen anyone seriously attempt to refute the statement.
- AndrewBissell 6y agoIf there's one thing that's hard to believe, it's that the U.S. helped train special forces who were fighting against a leftist movement in a Latin American country.
- plugger 6y agoIn an academic paper from 30 March 2010 from the United State Marine Corps Command and Staff College at the Marine Corps University in Quantico, Virginia, Major Joseph T. Beals, USMC writes: "The elite Mexican Special Forces, Grupo Aeromovil de Especiales (GAFE), have members who attended the SOA. Unfortunately, some of these highly trained individuals gave into corruption and formed their own criminal enterprise, the Zetas. The Zetas, along with several other private entities, have taken over areas where the Mexican government has no influence." Maybe read the whole thing next time?
