To be slightly more accurate, the public relief got stuffed into the rear end of an end-of-year omnibus spending bill. The CASE act provisions also happened to be stuffed into the bill, along with many other things. The resulting bill was over 5,000 pages.

- sthnblllII 6y agoI don't think that's more accurate because it fails to make the substantive distinction between these two provisions. One of them has huge public support and has been debated publicly for months and shot down repeatedly by congressional leadership while the other was written by a Disney lobbyist in secret and revealed at the last possible moment before the grassroots could mount a response.
