Electric vehicles are _incredibly_ simple to begin with so a decent chance.
But I also think that the electric car space is already very simple. Apple would be going head-to-head with Tesla which has already stripped away almost everything into a large dash-mounted monitor.
- randomsearch 6y agoUnsure if he can consult for them anymore, but if Ive designed a car I think it’d actually have more physical controls than a Tesla.
- Someone 6y agoThe looks of Tesla cars are conservative. Their cars look as much like gas-powered cars cars as early cars looked like carriages. I think there’s space for innovation there. The new Citroen Ami, for example, is a bolder design (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citro%C3%ABn_Ami_(electric) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citro%C3%ABn_Ami_(electric) ), but I think one can do better.
- madamelic 6y agoThat's a lovely looking design. I am on-board with that. I was talking about the interior but I would agree that there is room to improve, especially as start thinking about what driverless cars will look like.
- reducesuffering 6y agoUnfortunately, in the US your safety in the Citroen is questionable as you might get absolutely blasted by countless 4,300 lbs. / 1950 kg. SUVs[0] around you. - temac 6y agoThere are countless SUVs in Europe too. Maybe not as much as in the US, but already too many anyway.
